PE
At Croftlands Infant School, our PE curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils develop the skills and competence to excel in a wide range of physical activities by providing a broad & balanced curriculum with opportunities for all to be enjoyed.
Throughtout the Early Years Foundation Stages, we provide activities that are sufficient, challenging and interesting to promote both fine and gross motor skills to help young children gain control of their bodies. Within KS1, we cover topics in dance, games, athletics and gym across the groups over the academic year. The children's skills progress in all these areas across their time at Croftlands.

PE Policy
Real PE
In 2021, we signed up to the Real PE scheme. Real PE is a unique, child-centred approach. It transforms how we teach PE to engage and challenge EVERY child in school.
It focuses on the fundamental movement skills of a child's physical development:
* Agility
* Balance
* Coordination
Real PE develops the whole child, each term there is a multi ability focus:
* Personal
* Social
* Cognitive
* Creative
* Physical
* Health and Fitness
This will be encorporated slowly into our PE sessions.
